Harriet Tubman, Secret Agent

Harriet Tubman, Secret Agent:
How Daring Slaves and Free Blacks
Spied for the Union During
the Civil War
by Thomas Allen;National Geographic 2006

Summary: Its the story of Harriet Tubman, the ex-slave and conductor of the Underground Railroad. Her work was to help others escape, but she also played the role of a spy. Tubman assisted Northern troops by tapping into a group of ex-slaves working in the South and passing information on to the Union forces.

My Review: By reading this book, I dicovered  many great things about Harriet Tubman and the great work that she did. I also found out more information on slaves, Abraham Lincoln, and many others through this informative read. It really brings to light what people went through in those days.

Watch out for: War and slavery.
